Position Overview:

We are seeking a Product Designer to own the end-to-end design of user experiences for products that combine digital software with physical systems. This is a foundational role responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered interfaces while balancing technical, operational, and hardware constraints.

The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who excels at simplifying complex workflows and designing experiences that perform reliably in real-world environments. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Hardware teams, you will shape the product experience from early discovery through production-ready designs, helping establish design standards and user experience principles as the product and organization evolve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end product design process, including user research, discovery, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual design, and design handoff
• Design intuitive, accessible, and scalable user interfaces for complex software applications and hardware-integrated experiences
• Translate product requirements, technical constraints, and user needs into clear, effective interaction designs
• Create user flows, interaction models, and high-fidelity designs that support complex workflows and system states
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to validate design decisions and improve the user experience
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Hardware teams throughout the product development lifecycle
• Develop and maintain design systems, reusable components, and UX standards to ensure consistency across products
• Design for edge cases, failure states, and real-world operating conditions to create resilient user experiences
• Balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business priorities while delivering high-quality designs in a fast-paced environment
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility, and overall product experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UI/UX Design
• Proven experience owning end-to-end product design for shipped digital products
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX problem-solving, interaction design, visual design, and the ability to simplify complex workflows
• Experience designing for complex systems, stateful applications, or products with technical constraints
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (such as Figma or equivalent)
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design improvements
• Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, visual hierarchy, and accessibility best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
• Comfortable operating as a solo / first designer
• Strong English communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience designing hardware-integrated, IoT, connected, or embedded products
• Experience designing applications that operate in constrained environments, including intermittent connectivity or asynchronous workflows
• Experience building or scaling design systems across multiple products
• Strong technical understanding of frontend development, system behavior, and device interactions
• Experience designing for operational, industrial, robotics, or other complex technical products.
