Middle QA Engineer

We’re looking for a  mid-level QA engineer who can already own quality on a real product, talk confidently with clients, and wants to keep getting better — fast. You should care about the user’s experience as much as you care about clean test cases, and be excited about how AI is changing the way QA gets done.

If you like seeing your work catch real bugs before they reach production, and you’re comfortable being the QA voice in client conversations, you’ll fit in well here.

The role

You’ll join the team behind a multi-application web platform built on .NET and Angular, hosted on Azure. You’ll own QA for real features end-to-end and work directly with clients to understand what “quality” actually means for them.

Day-to-day, you’ll:

• Talk to clients regularly. Walk them through test results, clarify requirements, demo fixes, and translate technical issues into language they can act on.

• Design and run tests for new features and regressions, both manual and automated.

• Build and maintain automated tests in C# (Selenium WebDriver, plus API checks) — extending and improving what’s already there.

• Test APIs with Postman — contracts, edge cases, and data integrity.

• Use AI to move faster. Generate test scenarios, draft test cases, expand coverage, and bring AI-assisted QA into your everyday workflow.

• Investigate hard problems in complex business logic — even when documentation is thin — and explain what you found clearly.

• Collaborate with developers on bug triage, reproduction, and prevention — not over-the-fence handoffs.

What you’ll work with

• Automation: C#, Selenium WebDriver, plus modern alternatives where they help.

• API testing: Postman, REST APIs.

• Data: Microsoft SQL Server — comfortable writing your own T-SQL queries to validate, debug, and reproduce issues.

• Application stack: .NET (ASP.NET Core, Web API), Angular, hosted on Azure.

• Tools: Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, test management tools.

• AI tooling: we actively use AI-assisted tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) for test creation and exploratory QA — you’ll learn them on the job if you haven’t already.

QA depth

• 3+ years as a QA engineer / software tester, with hands-on experience on real production software.

• Practical experience with Selenium WebDriver in C# — running, reviewing, and writing automated tests.

• Confident API testing, especially with Postman.

• Solid SQL — you can write your own queries to validate or troubleshoot data, not just copy-paste.

• Strong testing fundamentals: test design, regression strategy, defect lifecycle, exploratory testing.

• Experience with test management tools (Azure DevOps Test Plans, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar).

• Clear documentation: test cases, use-cases, checklists, and bug reports based on user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Comfortable working in Scrum.

Client-facing communication

• Excellent spoken and written English — you can lead a client call, not just send polished emails.

• Confident talking to clients regularly — explaining test results, scoping coverage, defending priorities, and clarifying ambiguous requirements.

• Translate between technical and non-technical: you can explain a tricky bug to a client without making them feel lost, and a client’s vague pain point into something the team can actually test for.

• Calm and professional under pressure — when something is broken in production, clients want to talk to someone who keeps their head.

How you work

• Value-driven: you ask “what risk does this catch?” before “what shall we automate?”

• Reliable on what you commit to — and quick to flag risks early when something’s slipping.

• Owns features end-to-end and works closely with developers, PMs, and clients.

• A real team player — happy to mentor juniors and learn from seniors.

Mindset

• Curious about new tools, especially AI-assisted QA — or at minimum, eager to learn it.

• Always looking to level up your test design, automation, and communication.

Nice to have

• Performance or load testing experience (k6, JMeter, or similar).

• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to other automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, SpecFlow).

• Already used AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) for test work.

• Prior experience as the main QA point of contact for a client account.
